Reportedly two variations were produced with 200 rifles in each group. According to the Ross Rifle Story there are three known to exist from the early production and five from the later production. Early production rifles manufactured in Hartford, Connecticut. Late production rifles were made in Quebec. Calibers were .256 Mannlicher, .303 British and .370 caliber.
